Salient Features of Sandwich Type Bus Ducts

A Bus Duct is an assembly comprising a system of conductor with one or more bus bars separated by insulating material. It is manufactured into totally enclosed pre-fabricated sections consisting of Copper or Aluminium Bus Bars. power is simply tapped off by plug-in-points positioned at required intervals. Typically a Bus Duct system will consist of straight, flanged end, elbows, end cover, plug in boxes and other required accessories depending upon the site requirement.

Applications of Sandwich Type Bus Duct

Feeder style bus duct does not have any Plug-in openings where plug-in units can be installed. It is used interconnect equipment, such as between a Transformer / Genset & a switch board to transfer electricity from one equipment to another.

Rising Mains / Distribution Bus Duct

A Rising Mains (Vertical Distribution) or Plug-in Bus Duct System (Horizontal Distribution) can accommodate disconnect switches and other devices, making it ideal for power distribution in large buildings or assembly lines where machinery is placed. Plug-in type boxes with disconnectors can be installed on Sandwich Bus Ducts to facilitate efficient and flexible power distribution.
