Job Description: Tender Specialist / Engineer (DG Set & Allied Works)

Position Overview

The Tendering Engineer will be responsible for managing the complete tendering process for Diesel Generator (DG) sets and allied electrical/mechanical works. The role involves preparing competitive bids, analyzing tender documents, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQ’s related to DG sets and associated works. 
• Prepare techno-commercial bids in line with client requirements. 
• Coordinate with suppliers, and sub-contractors for quotations and technical inputs. 
• Perform cost estimation, budgeting, and risk analysis for tenders. 
• Ensure compliance with tender conditions, technical specifications, and statutory requirements. 
• Prepare detailed documentation including pre-qualification documents, technical submissions, and commercial proposals. 
• Track tender deadlines and ensure timely submission of bids. 
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and handle client queries. 

Technical Scope (DG Set & Allied Works)

• Diesel Generator sets (selection, sizing, and configuration).
• Electrical systems: panels, cabling, earthing, synchronization Panel, HSD, Bus Duct etc. 
• Fuel systems and storage tanks. 
• Acoustic enclosures and noise control systems. 
• Exhaust systems and ventilation.
• Installation, testing, and commissioning of DG sets. 
• Compliance with relevant standards (e.g., CPCB norms).

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in tendering/estimation for DG sets or similar EPC projects.
• Experience working with DG OEMs or EPC contractors preferred.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of DG systems and allied infrastructure.
• Expertise in tendering, estimation, and cost analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. 
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and tendering/estimation tools.
